Description

Dosage
Its advisable for Tanzanian situation to dissolve the bolus in 2 liters of water (about 37 C) to prevent additional dehydration. Two times per day one bolus/2 liters of fluid. Administer 2 times a day for 1-7 days
The fluid needs to be used within 24 hours
Composition
Sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, lactose, dextrose, glycine, L-glutamine.

Calf mineral boluses
There are 3 types of calf mineral boluses available
Opti Boost Calf: a bolus which releases minerals over a period of a week. To be administered on the day of calving and preferably repeated after a month. This bolus is suitable for calves that are still on milk with an inactive rumen
Opti Trace Sheep, Goat, Calf: this bolus can be used from an age of 3 months or when the rumen has been activated. It releases 6 types of minerals over a period of 6 months: zinc, manganese, selenium, cobalt, copper and iodine
Opti Trace Junior for calves from 150 kg of weight and more. It slowly releases minerals over a period of 6 months. It contains zinc, manganese, selenium, copper and iodine
